Towards the end of 1987, Rosa became ill after admitted to hospital she later return to "The Studio" before passing away on 26 January 1988.

"The Studio" was sold in March 1990 and what started out as 'a nice idea' after extensive alterations and restoration work, "The Beach House Bed & Breakfast" emerged operating as Bed & Breakfast & Coffee Shop.

In November of 2001 the property was bought by the members of Fynbosland 20 CC. Following yet another extensive renovation over a 6 week period transformed the place into a luxury guest house. "The Beach House Guest House " which has been very successful ever since.

Still nestled on the sandy dunes on the beach front "The Beach House Guest House" forms part of not only the cultural heritage of Hout Bay but the Present as well as the Future.
